Aion-news-Aion-2-0-will-be-launched-in-the-First-Half-Year-of-2010
In 2009, Aion caught nearly every gamer's eyes with its launch in West, and we know NCsoft will keep on fueling this game in 2010 with two expansions - Aion 2.0 & Aion 3.0. Supposing both of these updates can achieve worldwide success, Aion would be another long-lasting MMOG of NCsoft after Lineage and Lineage II.
Kim Taejin, CEO of NCsoft, revealed that Blade and Soul will enter CBT in the first half year at a teleconference. At the conference, he also answered a journalist that Aion 2.0 is confirmed be updated in the first haf year of 2010.
Last year, a rumor said that an event was arranged for the release of new version of Aion in Japan on December29th, 2009. However, the event was canceled for some unknown reasons, and it is said that NCsoft development team canceled a speech in Japan. NCsoft JP peremptorily changed the event into a Happy New Year Contest. But some game information has been circulated among players informally in Japan from then. The below are some thoughts about new skills from a Japanese Aion fan.
Question: It's said that Aion 2.0 will be launched in Feb. So, will we enjoy a higher level cap then, will there be new Abyss Equipment, Sole Weapons and Heroic Weapons, and what super weapons will come out? Personally, I'm eagerly waiting for the housing system, underwater city, mounts and siege weapons. What do you think?
Answer 1: I think the maximum level will be restricted to 55. A too high level cap can shorten the game's lifespan. If the level cap is set 55, the lvl 60 Abyss Sole Armor Set will show itself some time later, and those reaching lvl 55 will then get ready as well. If something like ground abyss equipment appears, many players will conduct PVP combats. So compared to lvl 53 armor sets and weapons, those like chiliarch armor sets and weapons seem more practical. What I'm worried about is even though a higher level cap is set, there will still be players who reach the cap and bully those at low levels one week (or so) later.
Answer 2: The test server of Aion 2.0 is still unavailable, so Aion 2.0 should not be accessible till March. And in my opinion, the prices of gold and silver merit badges will keep unchanged. It'll be great fun if the two races - Elyos and Asmodians can enter the abyss instances in the wild simultaneously.
Answer 3: It seems that NCsoft can hardly release Aion 2.0 in Feb., even in March. As we know, updates are always applied in the test server first, but till now, nothing about the test has been heard. So, I think the schedule may be in the following way: Feb. –- holding events; Mar. -– holding new-term events; between Apr. and May – releasing Aion 2.0 officially. According to NCsoft's habit, such thought is reasonable to some extent.
